Ian Jenks, Chairman and Executive Chairman

Ian joined the Board on 6th June 2016 as Chairman and appointed Executive Chairman 1st September 2016. Ian has more than 30 years of Board-level experience in the Communications and Industrial Technology fields, both as an investor and as Chief Executive Officer of companies operating in the US and Europe. He is currently also a director of FTSE-listed Paysafe Group plc, Birdsafe, Birdstep Technology ASA (publicly listed in Norway) and of Econic Technology Limited. Ian previously served as the Executive Chairman and as Chief Executive Officer of Intune Networks Limited. He was formerly a director of the British Photovolatic Association and a partner of Crescendo Ventures LLP in Palo Alto, US. He was a non-executive chairman of Oplink Communications Incorporated, of Quantasol Limited  and Executive Chairman of Evo Electric Limited. Ian is an associate member of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers.


Elizabeth Sipiere, Chief Operating Officer

Elizabeth joined the Board as a Non-Executive Director in October 2016.  The former Chief Executive Officer of Valueworks Ltd, Elizabeth is an experienced B2B technology executive. She has led growth in Microgen, Hewlett-Packard, OMX, Knight Ridder and several private equity backed businesses.

Elizabeth has also worked in software for the Financial Services, Construction and TELCO industries including as a Non-Executive Director of Orc Software AB participating in the Orc and OMX agreement to create a new front office product and in the acquisition of Cameron Systems moving Orc into a leading position in the global connectivity market.

In addition to her role as a Non-Executive Director, Elizabeth is acting as Chief Operating Officer until a new CEO is appointed.


Martin Thorneycroft, Chief Financial Officer

Martin joined Brady as Group CFO and Company Secretary in January 2014, bringing with him a wealth of experience in both the finance arena as well as the financial services software space, having held various senior financial positions during his 30-year career in both public and private companies based in the UK and the US. Most recently, Martin spent 8 years as Group Finance Director at AIM listed financial services software group Patsystems plc, where he was responsible for all aspects of financial control and reporting, legal, HR, administration, company secretarial and investor relations across its worldwide operations. 

Prior to Patsystems, Martin held CFO and other high-ranking financial positions at companies such as EY, Profile Media Group plc and McMullens and Sons Ltd, where he successfully delivered sustained growth, profitability and increased shareholder value.

Martin has been a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants since 1986, after graduating from Birmingham University with a Bachelor of Commerce.


Alison Ellmann, Head of Global Account Management

At the centre of Brady’s mission is customer success. Alison is responsible for a global team of account managers tasked with creating excellent partnerships between Brady and its customers to ensure that customer success is accomplished. Under Alison’s leadership, Brady’s team of account managers are dedicated to the success of each Brady customer, ensuring that customers derive the best possible return on investment from Brady’s solutions and services.  Alison’s role is to create partnerships between Brady and the customer to enable customers to achieve the required outcome from Brady’s solutions and services to help meet their company goals.

Prior to this role, Alison joined Brady in 2011 to run the global marketing activities. Her role included positioning the company and its solutions, marketing strategy, internal and external communications, investor, media and analyst relations, event planning and management and lead generation. Alison’s personal goal was to increase awareness of Brady’s brand in the natural resource trading space and ensure that all companies in the commodities space are aware of the value that Brady’s solutions can provide to their businesses.

With over 25 years’ experience in the commodities markets, Alison has held positions managing the hedging programmes for a metal producer, advising customers on hedging strategies on the client liaison desk of a LME broker, as well as managing sales teams at leading data vendors and commodity media houses. She spent more than a decade living and working in Germany. She holds a BA Hons in German and Marketing.


Jon Hobbs, Chief Technology Officer

Jon joined Brady in 1990 and has over 25 years' experience delivering software solutions to customers in the ECTRM and financial services space. He has held a number of senior development and technology positions at Brady, most recently as Group CTO. He is responsible for developing, articulating and executing the Group's technology strategy which is aligned with industry trends and best practice, through collaborating with colleagues, technology partners, analysts and clients. Prior to this he ran product development for Brady’s metals focused business.


Brian Collins, Head of Group Product

Brian joined Brady in 2004 and has 30 years’ of experience delivering Commodity and Energy solutions to the market and during that time has been actively involved in all aspects of the commercial software lifecycle.

Brian is responsible for a global team of product managers and product marketing managers tasked with delivering all aspects of the product vision, strategy and marketing for the Company’s product suite, through managing the entire product line life cycle and all aspects of outbound product marketing activities of product solutions, to support both existing and new customers’ current and future business activities.

Prior to this role, Brian has held a range of senior positions within the company and has extensive experience with the Company’s product teams. Having joined as an Executive Director with responsibilities in both Sales & Marketing and Product Strategy, Brian transferred in 2013 to an operational role taking over full P&L responsibility and operational control of the Physical Commodities division, based in Geneva, during which time the division secured a record number of new contract wins, and then in 2015 to head up the Energy Division as Head of Operations, managing a global team in Norway, Switzerland, the UK, Houston and Bangalore.

Robert currently heads up the Customer Success function at Brady, a new role he took on in October 2016.

The Customer Success function is a global organisation encompassing service delivery, client support and account management functions across all commodities and Brady product offerings.

His team are committed to providing product and service/support delivery excellence to all Brady customers ensuring that in each interaction we embrace the customers’ desired (business) outcomes and driving their ongoing success through the demonstrable value they can gain that is attributed to the continued usage of our products and services.

Robert has spent more than 10 years in the energy software industry space having joined Brady in 2012 through the acquisition of Navita Systems. He has led numerous successful project implementations through commercial inception to ongoing customer support across UK, Ireland, continental Europe and Africa for a wide variety of clients ranging from global multi-national companies to small start-ups. 

During the earlier part of his career Robert spent many years working in a variety of project roles in both a technical and functional leadership capacity for Hewlett Packard and latterly Agilent Technologies including enterprise systems rollouts and management of globally distributed IT project delivery teams. Robert has a BSc (Hons) Computer Science from University of Strathclyde.
