Ian Jenks, Executive Chairman

Ian joined the Board on 6 June 2016 as Chairman and was appointed Executive Chairman 1 September 2016. Ian has more than 30 years of Board-level experience in the Communications and Industrial Technology and Software fields, both as an investor and as Chief Executive Officer of companies operating in the US and Europe.

He was until December 2017 the Senior Independent Director of FTSE-listed Paysafe Group PLC, and was previously Chairman of Birdstep Technology ASA (publicly listed in Norway).

Ian was formerly a partner of Crescendo Ventures LLP in Palo Alto USA, Chairman of Oplink Communications Incorporated, and President of JDS Uniphase Inc both publicly listed companies on the NASDAQ Exchange.

Ian is an associate member of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers and has a BSc in Aeronautical Engineering from Bristol University. He is also a member of the 30% Club, who aim to develop a diverse pool of talent for all businesses and are committed to better gender balance at all levels of their organisations.

 


 

Martin Thorneycroft, Chief Financial Officer

Martin joined Brady as Group CFO and Company Secretary in January 2014, bringing with him a wealth of experience in both the finance arena as well as the financial services software space, having held various senior financial positions during his 30-year career in both public and private companies based in the UK and the US. Most recently, Martin spent 8 years as Group Finance Director at AIM listed financial services software group Patsystems plc, where he was responsible for all aspects of financial control and reporting, legal, HR, administration, company secretarial and investor relations across its worldwide operations.

Prior to Patsystems, Martin held CFO and other high-ranking financial positions at companies such as EY, Profile Media Group plc and McMullen and Sons Ltd, where he successfully delivered sustained growth, profitability and increased shareholder value.

Martin has been a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants since 1986, after graduating from Birmingham University with a Bachelor of Commerce.


 

Libby Koehn, Chief Product Officer

Libby joined Brady as Chief Product Officer in October 2017, responsible for leading day-to-day strategy and execution of all product-related activities and the research into and identification of long-term market needs that Brady must address to generate the highest value and return for the markets we serve. Libby’s role spans from the strategic to the tactile including coordinating Brady’s multi-year vision and product strategy, determining the overall portfolio of product line investments, equipping the Sales team with the tools, training and marketing assistance necessary for continued growth and profitability, aligning the pricing of our solutions to market requirements and providing leadership and support for the entire Product Management, Product Marketing, Marketing, Product Delivery, Services and Technical Support and functions.

Libby joins from Sage, where she had been Vice President of Product for the company’s Enterprise software business since May 2015.

Previously, Libby has over 20 years’ experience in similar roles leading enterprise software product management and turnaround efforts at a variety of UK and USA-based Software companies such as Ticketmaster, Bottomline Technologies, Compassoft and Per-Se Technologies.  As a software entrepreneur who founded her own company and took it global, Libby left her native California and moved to the UK 12 years ago. Libby holds degrees in History, Political Science, Nursing, Liberal Studies and Business and also picked up a few programming languages along the way.


 

Sara Mottus, Global Head of Human Resources

Sara joined Brady in June 2017 and leads HR for all of Brady PLC. She is of Swedish origin and has also spent time living and working in New Zealand before moving to the UK. She brings proven HR leadership experience gained within the B2B software space with global Jade Software Corporation and crime-fighting software company Wynyard Group and security analytics business Cognevo.

Sara brings strong experience in organisational design driving business performance through forward-thinking talent acquisition and competence development strategies. Most recently she has developed her own HR consultancy for SMEs in growth mode when we were fortunate enough to attract her to lead our global HR function here at Brady. She is a well-rounded experience with a strong commercial understanding and is accustomed to partnering with leadership teams and delivering HR for comparable organisations with an international footprint.


 

Scott Hestenes – Head of Value Enablement

As Global Head of Value Enablement at Brady, Scott manages both the account management team, securing positive long-term customer relations and the sales team, which is responsible for securing new clients. He brings to the role a breadth of experience in the energy and commodities sector, including over 20 years of leading software delivery to support financial trading and clearing, physical trading and complex settlement and invoicing.

Scott started his professional career working for a small innovative spin-off company, that was later acquired by the OM Group, as a part of the sizeable £30m energy exchange system delivery to the California Power Exchange. Subsequently, as one of the senior co-founders of Navita, he facilitated the business into becoming one of the most visible European based ETRM vendors. By combining strategic account management in the Nordics with a strong drive in new sales of a number of significant blue-chip companies, the company secured market growth, recurring revenues and international growth.

After Brady acquired Navita in 2012, Scott was promoted to Head of Energy Data Management (EDM); a core product line within the energy market. During his 3 year tenure in charge of EDM operations with full operational and financial responsibility of the local P&L of the business, Scott continued to grow the size and profitability of the EDM business unit. More recently as Brady evolved its core strategy with the support of its latest organisational model, Scott has transitioned into his current roles as Global Head of Value Enablement and a key member of the Executive Management team at Brady.


 

Rebecca Wright – Chief Legal Officer

Rebecca joined Brady to establish the in-house legal department in February 2015.  With a demonstrated history of working in the software industry for both B2B and B2C companies, Rebecca previously served as Legal Counsel at Rosetta Stone for the EMEA businesses. She was responsible for providing legal and compliance advice across multiple jurisdictions, covering various key areas including corporate and commercial, regulatory, intellectual property, company secretarial and data protection.

Rebecca manages the global legal function as Chief Legal Officer for Brady and is skilled in and passionate about providing practical and business-focused advice. She was appointed as Company Secretary in March 2017.
